The hotel has a great location right by the marina, which is perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and spacious but a bit dated and dark. Service during our stay was mixed; while some staff were friendly, we had a disappointing interaction with the reception. Dining was good with a nice variety, but the breakfast options could use some expansion. Overall, it's a decent place for families, but there are some areas that could really use improvement.

The hotel is wonderfully located right by the serene Rubicon Marina, providing a peaceful ambiance and beautiful marina views. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. While the staff were friendly and went the extra mile, some aspects of the service felt a bit lackluster, especially during busy times. The dining options fell short of expectations, particularly at breakfast, which could use more variety.

Rooms

The rooms were beautifully situated, very spacious, and included a generous double bed with a terrace area and lounge area. The pool view and added touches like slippers and dressing gowns made it a delight.
Service

The staff were generally friendly and helpful, with standout service from Hassan and Sanda, who truly went above and beyond. However, there were times when responses felt a bit nonchalant.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, thanks to its fantastic location near the marina and various shops and restaurants. The rooms were spotlessly clean, but felt a bit tired and could use some TLC. The service was a bit overwhelmed during busy times, but overall friendly. Dining options were excellent, especially at breakfast, which offered a delectable spread. The value for money was decent, but I found the facilities slightly lacking in certain areas.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a lovely experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed stunning views from my large terrace. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. However, I was a bit disappointed with the dining options, particularly at breakfast, as they could offer more variety. The location is great, with easy access to nearby bars and restaurants, but I did hear some guests mention the luck of the draw when it comes to room views.

The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I had a great experience. However, the dining options were a bit limited for breakfast and room service could use improvement. Overall, it's a great location if you're looking for a quiet getaway near the marina.

I had a really nice stay at this hotel, with spacious rooms that offered a lovely sea view and comfortable amenities. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable. However, the dining experience was a bit slow and lacked variety. Overall, it was good value for money and a great location near the marina and local bars.

I recently stayed at Hotel Volcán in Playa Blanca and had a mixed experience. On the one hand, the location is fantastic with a lovely view of the marina and the rooms are spacious with some nice perks like a free mini bar and afternoon tea. However, the rooms were quite dated with several maintenance issues, and the service staff, while friendly, seemed to lack proper training. Overall, it’s a decent spot with great potential but not without its flaws.

Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious and had a partial view of the marina, although it had several maintenance issues such as old tiling, a TV with no signal, and a loose toilet. The air conditioning was also poor, which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and courteous, especially my regular cleaner, Fatou. However, I felt they needed more training and guidance to elevate their service skills to a higher standard.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located right next to the marina, making it easy to take evening strolls in a well-kept area. It was generally quiet, which I liked.
Dining
7.0
The dining options offered a massive variety, though the quality was hit and miss compared to my last visit three years ago. Despite the busyness, there was always plenty of food available.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities at the hotel were decent, but I found the pool areas to be a bit crowded and lacking in sunbeds. More space and amenities could really enhance the experience.

I had a nice stay at the hotel with some highlights like the spacious rooms and friendly staff. The location was great, close to restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. However, the dining options were a bit lacking and the rooms felt like they could use some updates. Overall, it’s a solid choice but not without its flaws.

The location was fantastic, just a 15-minute walk to Dorado beach and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants.
Dining

The facilities were decent, but I expected more from a 5-star hotel, like a microwave in the room.

The hotel is beautifully located overlooking a stunning waterfall, and I really enjoyed the made-to-order breakfast and free evening bar. The rooms, though, felt a bit tired and could use some TLC. While the staff was friendly, the service was somewhat inexperienced, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, especially with the nearby marina and shopping options, but I wish the service had been a bit sharper.

I had a nice stay at the hotel, which is located in a superb area right above the Rubicon Marina, offering beautiful views and access to several cafes and restaurants. The room was large and comfortable, although it didn't have a sea view or sunshine on the balcony, which was a bit disappointing since I was hoping for that November warmth. The service was mostly friendly and helpful, but I felt it could have been a touch warmer. Overall, it's a great place with good value for money, though dining could use some improvement.
